What to expect

After completing my contact or booking form I'll come back to you within 48 hours to discuss confirming your session with me.

I may require more information from you or want to discuss the information you've given me in more depth in which case you may receive an email from me with a request for a few details to help me understand more about what you want from your session or who will be attending.

It's important if you're booking a newborn or maternity session that we catch both your gorgeous growing bump (from 30+ weeks) and newborn babe (preferably up to two weeks after birth to capture newborn size) at the right time so I advise booking well in advance if you can as I limit the amount of shoots I do in a month and weekend slots are very scarce.

Once we have confirmed details and a date I will send my guide over to you so that you can get some ideas on what to wear and how to prepare for when we meet.

After our session together I will give you an indication of when I will be able to get your images over to you post edits. I partner with an online provider so you'll be able to view your gallery and order prints all from one place to make it much easier for you.

What i ask of you and why

I love details and I work with people who truly value that intimacy reflected in their photographs. Your session will be all about capturing details - those small things we notice about our loved ones that nobody else knows and that's what helps me create such intimate personal images for you. So, on, before and during your session I may ask. you questions about your little one or your pregnancy. If there is anything you would rather we did not discuss please let me know and I will be sure to make a note.

I also ask for my clients to wear neutral clothing, this really helps to make the images as timeless as possible. We're aiming to create photographs that you can treasure, that will take pride of place in a family photo album that your children just love pulling off the shelf, that grace your walls for years and years to come and that your grandchildren will look at in awe. It's for those reasons that I prefer to avoid any brightly coloured, illustrated, logo'd clothing. It also helps compliment my style of photography and use of light which means you'll get the best of my work for your hard earned money too.

Your session to me isn't about the minutes paid for - which is why I always book extra time around the sessions to allow for weather, location issues, or to just give more time to you because after all nothing thats worth it is rushed and we all know that babies don't tend to perform on cue! However if you do wish to extend your session beyond what you have booked or add in extra bodies for me to photograph (even of the four legged hairy kind) please do let me know well in advance.
